Installing Software

Once your operating system is installed you need to install the software that came with your hardware. This is necessary if you want your hardware to work properly. There are two ways to install this software.

1. Plug and Play. As soon as your computer loads up it should automatically detect most of your new hardware (i.e. sound card, graphics card, network card, monitor, etc.) Follow on-screen instructions and install proper software for the hardware. Do not be concerned if it does not detect all your hardware. If it does not then proceed to step two.

2. Manual Install. If it did not automatically detect all your new hardware wait until your computer is done loading. Usually by inserting the CD it will automatically load up and just follow the on-screen instructions. Read the users manual if you are unsure how to install your hardware or software manually. You can use this step to install any software.

Your computer should be fully operational now. Congratulations and have fun!
