Lesson 12: Installing PCI Expansion Cards

A Quick Explanation

Other expansion cards are installed the same way as the PCI-Express video card we just installed. It's so similar in fact, there's no need to explain it all again. I'll just mention the important parts:

  • Locate appropriate slot on the motherboard
  • Remove the correct metal insert from case
  • Line up notches on slot and card
  • Press down on both sides until it's installed
  • Don't force it in
